ABOUT US IN SARDINIA, OH.

Our Story
Tom Belcher's Body Shop has grown due to the hard work of the Belcher Family. The root of the business began in 1958, when Tom Belcher Sr. started a small automobile repair shop in Cherry Fork, Ohio.

In 1964, he moved his business to Wamsley's Auto Sales. He worked with Mr. Wamsley until 1976, when the body shop was moved once again. This time he opened his shop at 113 Mae Street in Sardinia, where he and his wife, Marie Belcher, worked together at the shop. Marie handled all the books, got parts for the vehicles, and prepared the car for the paint booth. They had two sons, Joe Belcher and Tom Belcher Jr., who also worked with them at the shop.

Joe eventually went out on his own, while Tom Jr. worked with his father throughout high school. Following his graduation in 1988, Tom Jr. decided to stay at the shop.
The Second-Generation Shop
In 1999, Tom Jr. took over the family-owned-and-operated shop to continue his father's legacy. At that time, he moved the shop to its current location at 124 Mae Street in Sardinia.

The body shop facility is a 4,600-sq. ft. building, which includes a downdraft paint booth to frame racks, Axalta® coating system, four-wheel alignment, and a complete computer diagnostic system. At the beginning of 2004, Tom Jr. started a 24-hour towing service, using a 19-ft. F550 Rollback. Tom Belcher's Body Shop is proud to be a Preferred Service Provider for several insurance companies.

"I would like to thank my mother and father for all of their continued help and support over the years," Tom Jr. said. "Our business wouldn't be what it is today without their help."
